1966 Epiphone Triumph Custom

An extremely rare and unusual custom-built Epiphone from the mid-1960's. One of about a dozen originally ordered by the now long-gone E.U. Wurlitzer store in Boston.

Body:

  • Single cutaway body style
  • Solid carved Sitka spruce top
  • Oval soundhole
  • No sound hole rosette
  • 17.3125" body width

Neck:

  • Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with large diamond inlays
  • Pearl column inlay on headstock

Binding:

  • 3-ply body
  • 1-ply neck & headstock
  • 1-ply sound hole

Electronics:

  • 1 Johnny Smith floating pickup
  • 1 Vol. 1 Tone controls

Hardware:

  • Nickel hardware
  • Rosewood bridge & base with compensated saddle
  • Elevated pickguard with attached pickup controls
  • Frequensator tailpiece
  • Custom pickguard
